Buchardt Audio's E50 passive speaker is the Danish company's flagship passive bookshelf speaker offering. It is entirely crafted in Denmark, and features parts from Purifi woofers, Scan-Speak textile dome tweeters, Jantzen Audio & Duelund Coherent Audio components. The wood speaker cabinets also feature precise finger-joints, a testament to their premium build quality.
Sonically, the E50 is a slightly warm and very balanced sounding speaker with deep bass and a very refined and mature treble presentation. A hauntingly wonderful midrange that sits "just right". Compared to the E50-S, the E50 is tougher to drive, but has much deeper sub bass extension, and a more even-keeled tonality.
