Yep, this is probably the only dongle with a sound so large it rivals DAP units. The FangSound Prometheus has a 1W per channel output at 32 or 16 ohms. With an ESS9039PRO DAC chip, sound remains clear and transparent. While it is jam packed with power, the implementation of this DAC chip sounds large, noble and refined. Good dynamics and a tone a little meatier than usual. No semblance of ESS glare. A beautiful marriage of brute-force power and controlled tonality.
This one gets warm under use but never hot, thanks to its gorgeous and efficient heatsink design.
