LTA's Aero DAC is truly the first of its kind - an R2R DAC that uses the patented ZOTL tube amplification technology. Its AD1865 chip accurately reproduces very fine detail in the music, and circumvents the chip's typical dryness with an entirely discrete analogue section to remove any hint of digitalises or dryness.
The ZOTL tube topology removes the need for an output transformer, moving the listener closer to the music by preserving maximum dynamic swings, fidelity and liquidity.
The result is an incredibly musical DAC that moves you into the music. A little warm, effortless, no slush, no grain and no muddiness.
The Aero comes only with stock NOS 12SN7 tubes. It has a switch at the back to accommodate either 6SN7 or 12AU7 tubes and their equivalent. Make sure to turn off the DAC before switching.
