Quloos QH1 Portable Desktop Preamp/Amplifier with LPS Add On

A flagship-level preamp/amplifier that is carefully engineered with batteries, making it portable. The Quloos QH1 is one of those products with quirky functionality.. but it sounds great! The QH1 has a dense, slightly U-shaped sound, emphasising precision, speed and clarity. It brings incredible energy and layers sound as if it's an electrostat. 

Thanks to its many inputs and outputs, the QH1 can be used as a desktop headphone amplifier, a portable headphone amplifier with a portable player, or as a preamplifier to drive a power amp or active speakers. The 3 gain settings (low/medium/high) and low noise floor allows QH1 to be a versatile product that work with anything from sensitive IEMs to high impedance, insensitive headphones.

The QH1 is also fully balanced. It means that if it receives a single-ended input, it will convert it into a balanced signal. It's fully balanced architecture allows it to remove common-mode noise and drastically reduce crosstalk, resulting in a well separated and layered sound.

The QH1 can be operated in both class A and class AB. Class A can only be operated when there is a power source (e.g LPS or DC-in) connected, as class A generates a lot of heat and power. QH1 also comes with an infrared remote control.

The QH1 provides around 8-20 hours of constant playback (depends on selected voltage). A lot of engineering focus is put into battery operation of the device, using multiple parallels to further reduce the internal resistance while improving current capability by several times compared to batteries in portable players. The result is clean and steady power that exceeds the performance of electricity in many devices that use 220V power supply. The basis of its performance is really in its great power supply. 

Pair the QH1/LPS seamlessly with the Quloos QA390MOD stack. The LPS can power both the QA390MOD and QH1 at the same time, maximising its highest possible performance ceiling.
